What does a business proposal format look like

A business proposal is a document used by a B2B or business-facing company (this may not always be the case) where a seller aims to persuade a prospective buyer into buying their goods or services. A business proposal template, like this content marketing plan, outlines what your business does and what you can do for your client.

Quite often, the terms “business proposal” and “business plan” are used interchangeably, giving you the impression that they are one and the same. But they are not. A business plan is a “formal statement of a set of business goals” and how these would be achieved.

Run your spelling and grammar checker as a backup. Especially review the executive summary (or overview) in detail as this is typically the first thing the potential client will read. Make sure you attach include any relevant addendum like design plans, samples of past work, client testimonials etc.

Make sure that any logos you use on the cover page, whether yours or your prospect’s, are high-quality, high-res versions that look sharp in the context of your cover. After all, the first thing a prospect sees shouldn’t be a fuzzy version of their logo in a white box that looks like an amateur cut-and-paste hack.
